Episode 2.14

The games of the weekend weren’t even done yet when we recorded because we were so anxious to get talking about Knighthawks tying a league record! We also discussed an exciting game in Calgary, a not-so-exciting game in Connecticut, and the whole Garrett Billings situation. While it isn’t yet over, Billings has played it rather well while the Rock are in a tough spot.

Episode 2.13

The Roughnecks finally look like the team we all expected at the beginning of the year, the Rush and Rock play another close one, the Bandits don’t score in the 4th quarter at all but still win, and Jeremy Noble continues his strong play for the Mammoth. Also: Rob Hellyer’s out but we don’t know for how long – does that give Jamie Dawick the ability to take back his earlier comments and re-sign Garrett Billings? And has Minnesota played a game with their full roster yet this year?

Episode 2.12

Melissa was unable to join us for this episode but Tyler and Graeme had a good conversation about Jeremy Noble, Sean Pollock, Troy Cordingley, Paul Gait, Callum Crawford, Logan Schuss, and a bunch of other people. Resolved: close seats don’t always mean great seats. Unresolved: why do the Stealth go from great to lousy with the loss of one or two players?

Episode 2.11

Only a couple of games this weekend – the Rock rolled over the Mammoth and the Roughnecks won an exciting game in OT. No new news on the Garrett Billings front, but we talk about some rumours. Just Tyler and Melissa this week as Graeme was under the weather.

Episode 2.10

Anthony Cosmo is hurt but how bad? Meanwhile Garrett Billings is no longer hurt but isn’t playing. Why not? And if the Rock were to trade him, what are they likely to get back? We discuss those issues plus four interesting games on this edition of Addicted to Lacrosse.

Episode 2.9

A fun show tonight! Athan Iannucci was released by the Mammoth – have we seen the last of Nooch in the NLL? There was a fight in Toronto that wasn’t what it seemed, the Roughnecks finally won, and the Black Wolves are playing reasonably well but still digging themselves deeper in the standings. And how much is too much when it comes to trash talk among teams?

Here’s the tweet from the Knighthawks that we talk about in the show:

.@NLLBandits Do you guys want this back? Mr. Cordingley seemed to drop this with quite some force after the game… pic.twitter.com/HTbAe7fQHl

Episode 2.7

Only two games this week, but we did have a future Hall of Famer retire and a couple of other players return. Also, can Calgary recover from their season-opening slump, will they be the odd team out in the West at playoff time, and will Tyler get a tummy ache from all the popcorn he’s enjoying while watching it all?

All this and more on this week’s Addicted to Lacrosse.

Episode 2.6

Tyler was unavailable this week so Ryan Zunner from the Big Z Lacrosse Network joined us as guest host. No news this week but we had five pretty interesting games to talk about. The Bandits played two solid halves of lacrosse, but unfortunately they played two games. The Roughnecks slide continues, the Stealth battle back against the Mammoth, and what’s the deal with throwing the challenge flag with less than two minutes left?

Episode 2.5

The Stealth make a trade, but will Corey Small really help them? Derek Keenan returns for the Rush but will it really make that much of a difference? (Spoiler: YES) We also talk about trash talking among teams and how much is too much, and of course there were five games this past weekend to discuss as well.
